The McClean STEM Scholarship

In 500 words or less, "How has your passion for STEM/Trade influenced your high school experience, and how do you envision utilizing your skills and knowledge in these fields to make a positive impact in your life after graduation?"

STEM: Science, Technology, Mathematics, Engineering…

Trades: Electrical, HVAC, Plumming, Home Inspection, Nursing, etc.

These skills play a crucial role in meeting the needs of our evolving society. Recognizing the importance of empowering young black men from Gastonia, NC and enabling them to pursue their career goals, McClean STEM is proud to offer the esteemed $1000 McClean STEM scholarship.

Scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. African-American/Black male

2. Graduating from a High School in Gastonia, NC

3. Enrolled in a college, university, vocational school or trade program

4. Major in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) or trade

Applications are due March 7th, 2024 at 11:55pm. The winner will be announced April 7th, 2024.
